Youth Activities

The Coach House theatre is used for youth drama and dance activities by a number of local schools and other groups including courses and projects operated by Malvern Theatres.

Currently, Malvern Theatre Players does not have a youth group because this would duplicate the provision made and funded by Malvern Theatres. However, Malvern Theatre Players offer opportunities for young people to appear in their regular drama productions both in the Malvern Theatres complex and at the Coach House Theatre. Young people are also encouraged to become involved with the backstage and front of house operation of the theatre.

We have strong links into local schools and colleges and willingly make our resources, particularly costumes, equipment and props available for education projects and individual students, usually at nominal cost.

The following organisations will provide information about youth drama and dance opportunities in the Malvern area :-

Child Protection

The Coach House Theatre is fully compliant with local and national child protection regulations including licensing for all children aged 16 or under appearing in public performances. Theatre staff required to work with children are subjected to enhanced Criminal Records checks, and all activities that involve children in performances are supervised by approved, registered, chaperones. Our operating policy also requires visiting companies to comply with these standards.
