MTP – The Anniversary

MTP’s next production, The Anniversary,  by Bill Macilwraith, is now well into rehearsals. The play is a black comedy set during the annual family gathering to celebrate the parents wedding anniversary, despite the father having passed away some years earlier.

In the role of the acid tongued and manipulative Mother is Sue Lupton. Playing her three jealously protected sons are, in descending age, Steve Hart as the amiable bachelor Henry, Ben Swift as the affection-seeking Terry and Jonny Stephens as the ever mother-challenging Tom. The female halves of the two younger sons are played by Catherine Crosswell as Karen, Terry’s loving wife but despised daughter-in-law and Claire Farley as Tom’s new girl-friend, Shirley. All of the above have performed with MTP in the past and have bonded together working like a real family. Director Gillian Young is very pleased with progress and with her strong cast and creative team anticipates another memorable MTP production.

The show will run from July 15th to 20th at the Coach House, for further details including ticket purchase, see the link on the Coach House home page.
